Featured Maker - Emmeline ButlerEmmeline creates wheel-thrown ceramics reflecting the natural textures and fissures of limestone pavements, for which the Dales is well known, through deep cracking in her ceramics.
Emmeline's recent work includes moorland colours, sometimes with glimmers of gold hinting at the geological seams beneath. |
Featured Maker - Cath Ball
Cath Hand makes porcelain ceramics with lace and stitching as a form of decoration. Cath uses her own signature aqua blue/green glaze to highlight the textures left behind in the surface of the clay. Cath is keen to push the boundaries of the hard clay manipulating it to feel like fabric and creating intricate hand embroidered details onto the surface.

Featured Maker - Katy O'Neil
Katy's contemporary ceramic vessels, bowls and wall plaques are slabbed formed with textured or chunky black clay and are decorated with slips before being impressed with marks which are inspired by Katy's photographs taken whilst travelling. Katy uses colour to highlight the texture and mark making before firing to stoneware. Each piece is unique and are, for Katy, a celebration of form, material and mark making. Katy also makes a range of ceramic jewellery, including stud and drop earrings, pendants and bangles, which compliment the designs of her wrap pots. Katy aims to make affordable, usable art.
