Printmaking
Featured Maker - Hester CoxI create limited edition collagraphs that are often combined in layers to form textured and richly coloured prints. The natural landscape and my chance encounters with wildlife are the main inspiration for my work. Throughout 2019 & 2020, I have been working with the Dales Countryside Museum on a project celebrating the work of Marie Hartley. My recent work is inspired by visiting some of the places she wrote about within the Yorkshire Dales National Park. I sell framed & unframed original prints and greetings cards.

Featured Maker - Janis Goodman
I have worked professionally as a printmaker for thirty years creating etchings and aquatints, which reflect my architectural training and my interest in the inner city and familiar parts of countryside. I am engaged in portraying the tension in the relation between the artificial and the natural; the manmade environment and the anarchic forces of nature and entropy. The prints are preoccupied with repetitive pattern, they are small narratives in which different elements meet and interact. I am attracted to the unusual in the midst of the everyday. I hope to avoid sentimentality but to focus on the quirky and irregular.
